2 killed as cult groups clash in C’River onNovember 06, 2013/ in News12:57 am / BY Randee CALABAR — Recently, two persons were killed when youths and the police clashed in Ogoja, the northern part of Cross River State, another violent clash between two rival secret cult groups has left two youths dead. The clash, which took place Sunday night reportedly started at the burial of a woman, Ma Alice Ogboja, when the cult groups said to be Aro bagas and K.K engaged each other in a free-for-all following an argument between two young men. “The argument was simply between two young men but no sooner had we intervened to stop the exchange of words than other young men from both groups joined and a fight ensued,” an eye witness, Clemenson Mgbe, toldVanguardin Ogoja. According to Clemenson, the burial took place in Akpakpanga village, some two kilometres from Igoli, the Ogoja central town. He said: “Trouble started when a boy slapped a nursing mother and her boyfriend who is an alleged cultist confronted him and an argument started, and in the process a fight ensued. “One of them brought a machete with which he inflicted a cut on one of the boys and that escalated matters. “It was in a bid to retaliate the machete cut on their member that opposing members mobilised that night and attack members of the other group. “They went from house to house where the other members live and a fierce battle ensued. Two boys were killed and the property of those they could not find at home were set ablaze.” WhenVanguardvisited Ogoja, Monday afternoon, the streets of Abakpa where the fight took place were deserted as most young people had run away while shops and business outlets remained shut for fear of attack. Commenting on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Cross River State Police Command, Hogan Bassey said: “There was a clash like that; you know with the universities shut, many boys are at home and such things are likely when youths are idle.” The score is 1 - 1 and this is the first time of such occurance in Ogoja. There have been fighting but dead has never been recorded. Now that it has been done, will it continue? Sad story, Satan is at work. May God take over. Amen. Please pray for the peace of our nation.

Mysterious figures at Bayern Munich Eleven men dressed in identical black robes were present in the stands to the surprise of bewildered fans at the Allianz Arena Oct 27, 2013 8:30:00 AM Bayern men in robesEXTRA TIME A group of mysterious figures caused a stir in the crowd at Bayern Munich's clash with Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Saturday. The 11 unknown men, each dressed in black robes and sat in a line, were spotted making strange synchronised gestures during the league match, which Bayern won 3-2. Men In Black| The robed figures startled supporters Situated six rows from the pitch just beside the halfway line in the stand opposite the broadcasting gantry, the group was also seen by TV viewers all across the world. One fan, Torsten Schmidt, said: "It was very weird. They sat very still for a long time but then would hold their hands up together, or stand up in unison and then sit down again. Everyone near me was very confused. Some people laughed, some looked astonished. It was just very weird." A key feature of their clothing was a circular symbol on the chest of their robes. It clearly resembled the logo spotted at a series of linked unexplained event over the past week. Out of this world| Fans were puzzled by the circular symbol The same symbol has been seen at locations across the globe, starting with the appearance of a hologram on Rio de Janeiro's Sugarloaf mountain on Sunday, 20 October. Further sightings of the symbol have been witnessed in the Copacabana neighbourhood of Rio and on the Brazilian city's Santa Maria hill, but this is the first time that the mystery has spread to a professional football arena.
